What Makes Us Unique? (YWAM Denver)

  1. Our calling to be 'A Bridge to the Nations' - The heartbeat of YWAM, Denver is the Great Commission, especially the burden to reach out to those who've never heard the Gospel. In addition to sending outreaches from our training programs, we've specialized in developing long term teams to go into the 10/40 window. We've already sent out several teams over the years and our goal is to train, send, and support many more in the years to come.

  2. A world-class city only minutes from the mountains - Probably one of the most unique characteristics of Denver is something only a handful of other cities share in common: A metroplex of 2.5 million people only minutes from one of the largest mountain ranges on earth. Those of us who live here have come to appreciate the conveniences of the city while still being just a stone's throw away from the Rocky Mountains.

  3. Cultural Diversity - Come to the mountains and not only will we take you to the Nations but you will be immersed within them right here in Denver. Each Discipleship Training School Is made up of students from all over the world. Our staff also consists of people from the U.S., Holland, New Zealand, England, Australia, Brazil, and more. Let your adventure to the Nations begin right here in Denver and extend to the world.

  4. Community Lifestyle - This was the culture of the New Testament - believers breaking bread from house-to-house, praying together, and sharing things in common. Although we don't share everything in common, we've made it a priority to pattern our community after the New Testament church. Our YWAM base is like a big family. We spend large quantities of time worshipping and studying God's Word, but also eating, having fun and fellowshipping with each other. There are families, young married couples, and singles from all around the world - it's an amazing experience!

  5. Worship - Three times weekly we gather to worship God as a community. All of our staff and leadership are involved with the students in these corporate times of praise. In fact, we don't even open our offices until 10:30am on those mornings. God has blessed YWAM Denver with an abundance of quality musicians with an anointing to lead in worship and state-of-the-art equipment. It's something we all look forward to because these special times in God's presence have become the forum where He speaks to us as a community and sets our priorities in order for the day.

  6. Local Evangelism - Although our YWAM base is located in a beautiful setting adjacent to a small lake in a Denver suburb, we are only 20 minutes from the center of town. We feel that God has placed us here strategically, within easy reach of the hundreds of ministry opportunities this city provides, so that we can be actively involved in evangelism. Two nights a week, teams fan out across the city to share the Gospel in nursing homes, Christian coffeehouses, unwed mothers' ministries, and on street corners.
