Since we've been at this town outside Kiev (i still can't pronounce it well, so I still won't make you) we've been doing a lot of different things. We started out going to schools and having conversational English times, this was primarily a way to introduce the English Club (a tool the ministry we work with here runs). It was exciting to see many of the kids come that we met at the schools come to the English Club event on Wednesday night. English Club started out with a bang when all the lights in the building wouldn't work, but we got together and prayed & repented and the lights came back on. After the lesson portion, our team got the opportunity to share the drama (Forgiveness) and Caroline gave a message based off it. We were told it was the first time many of the teenagers had heard someone talk openly about the issues of sex and alcohol/drugs. It is still a surprise to us that most people here have not heard about Jesus or God, because of the communism that existed here for so long. We also had the opportunity to go to a kid’s home for the disabled and a boy’s home for the handicapped. We felt the theme of our time in these two places was "joy". A favorite ministry time was at a rehab center, where we were as affected by the presence of God as were the people we met there.
